VCU will operate virtually on Wednesday, Jan. 28 with remote learning. VCU Health inpatient hospitals are open.

VCU will operate virtually on Wednesday, Jan. 28 with remote learning. VCU Health inpatient hospitals are open as the area recovers from a winter storm. 

 

Decisions about Thursday's operations at the university will be announced this evening (Tuesday, Jan. 27) and will be based on the success of snow and ice removal on campus and in the surrounding community. 

Designated university employees such as physical plant, facilities and police should report to campus as scheduled and other university employees should work remotely. University employees unable to work remotely will be granted office closing leave.

VCU Health Information:

Inpatient hospitals and emergency departments are open and fully operational at VCU Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital and VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital.

VCU Health team members should monitor their email, VCU Health alert and the intranet for operational updates.

Patients will be contacted directly if their appointment is impacted.

VCU School of Dentistry patients will be contacted about their appointments.

Student and Community operations: 

Information about VCU Dining Facilities is available at vcu.campusdish.com.

RamSafe will operate from 5pm - 12am tonight, Jan. 27. RamsXpress will not run on Wednesday, Jan. 28. The VCU community should check the VCU Parking and Transportation X account (@VCUParking) for updates on RamRide and RamSafe. 

VCU libraries will operate virtually and library buildings will be closed.

VCU Men's basketball:

The VCU men's basketball game against the University of Richmond will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m.at the Siegel Center.
